Pioneer Valley Credit Union was a proud sponsor for the “Swing Into Action to End Local Homelessness” Golf Tournament for Clinical and Support Options and its Friends of the Homeless emergency shelter program in Springfield. The special event took place at the Springfield Country Club on Monday, July 25^th in West Springfield. Funds that were raised benefit the local nonprofit behavioral health agency in our community.

Pioneer Valley Credit Union donated $600 towards the cause to support the nonprofit agency that provides outpatient behavioral health and family support services, emergency crisis stabilization services, after school programs, family resource centers and the Springfield emergency housing shelter, Friends of the Homeless, located at 755 Worthington Street in Springfield.

The Friends of the Homeless shelter in Springfield not only provides emergency shelter to over a thousand men and women over the age of eighteen each year, it also assigns a case worker to each guest to assist with long term solutions such as permanent housing, aid in navigating state and federal assistance programs and access to behavioral and mental health support.
